In Japanese they are very clear that the Adventure mode is just battles, no story outside the cinematic he was showing us in the direct. They stressed this very clear as to not get people thinking there is a story mode.

would bring this up in gaym theory but considering he's in smash i won't incineroar's representation in smash only proves to me more he should be fire/fighting instead of fire/dark as he's supposed to be a heel wrestler and so he's supposed to make the crowd hate him, but i've never really seen incineroar act cruel or do anything dirty in anything he's been in, and in smash he seems to be more like a face wrestler instead.
